Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Philology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) since August 2018, and affiliated to the Post-Graduation Program in Linguistics at UFRJ (POSLING) since 2019.
I was a visiting researcher at the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Birmingham - UK, in 2019.
I was an Assistant Professor of the Portuguese Language Department at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) (2016 to 2018).
I hold a bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Portuguese by the University of São Paulo (USP) (2006), a master's degree in Philology and Portuguese Language at USP (2009), a Ph.D. in Philology and Portuguese Language at USP (2015) with a visiting Ph.D. student period at the University of Cambridge (2014/2015). I completed a postdoctoral degree in Linguistics at Unicamp (2016).
I have experience in Linguistics, Portuguese, and Romance Languages, with emphasis on Linguistic theory and analysis, Syntax, Diachronic Syntax, Historical Linguistics, Linguistic theory, Syntax of Brazilian Indigenous Languages, and Computational Linguistics. Additionally, I work with Linguistics theory and teaching interface, EFL/ESL teaching, teaching Portuguese grammar, and Portuguese as a second language.
